Photographer, Writer, Oral History Interviewer.

James Wales is an abstract photographer and graduate of the University of Florida. He developed his light blur style through a drive for experimentation and finding new uses for the skills he developed during years of shooting low light theatrical photography. James is also a UF Oral History Interviewer and writer of science fiction.

Using the camera as a brush, with night as the canvas splashed with paint from the lights and chaos of cities. Freeing the camera from its traditional stillness and its focus on capturing a single moment. Abandoning the natural instinct to break out the tripod and allowing the camera to dance in your hands to the music of the city. To an image that harnesses movement, energy, and time.
